Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport has flights from almost every city in India, which makes it the most common entry point for guests flying in.
By taxi or self-drive
- From the airport take the road towards Doddaballapura and join the outer ring road (STRR) towards Nelamangala, so you avoid the city.
- Join NH48 towards Tumakuru.
- Continue via Gubbi, Tiptur, Arsikere and Kadur to Chikkamagaluru.
- From town take the road towards Hirekolale and Ulluvagilu to Tranquil Terrain.

By bus
Take the airport bus (Vayu Vajra) to Majestic, then a KSRTC bus to Chikkamagaluru. It is cheaper but takes most of the day.
Timing tip
If you land after 2 PM, think about a night near the airport and an early start. The last hour of the drive is through the hills and much nicer in daylight.
