When to leave
Leave by 6 AM on Saturday. You will clear the Tumakuru Road exit before traffic, have breakfast on the highway and reach by lunch. Friday night departures work too, but the last hour into the hills is better in daylight.
Which route

A simple weekend plan
- Saturday: Lunch, rest, sunset at Hirekolale Lake, bonfire.
- Sunday: Mullayanagiri morning slot, breakfast, estate walk, Jhari Falls, evening at the villa.

Beat the Sunday rush
Sunday evening traffic back into Bengaluru is heavy from Nelamangala onwards. Either leave by noon on Sunday, or stay till Monday morning and drive back after breakfast. Many guests take Monday off and find it the best decision of the trip.
