Tranquil Terrain is a boutique coffee estate resort in Chikmagalur, not a big hotel. It sits among the age-old coffee plantations on the slopes that rise towards Mullayanagiri. It is eleven villas, a restaurant pavilion, a games hall and a lot of green.
How it started
The resort was founded by Ms. Ramya P.C. and Mr. Sanketha C.R. Their travels showed them how good hospitality can feel when it is calm and personal. They wanted to bring that feeling home to Chikkamagaluru, without taking anything away from the landscape that makes the region special.
Built for the land
The villas step down the slope in a row, white walls facing the morning light. Stone, timber and big panes of glass let the plantation do the decorating. Each villa has its own colour story inspired by the Western Ghats. Beige for the earth, green for the forest, blue for the sky and crimson for the warmth of a fire on a cold night.
