Kalhatti Falls, also called Kalahasti Falls, tumbles down the hillside right next to an old Veerabhadreshwara temple. The temple sits partly in the path of the water, which makes for a lovely sight after the monsoon.
Getting there
It is on the Kemmangundi road from the Tarikere side, about 57 km from Tranquil Terrain. You can see it on the way up to or down from Kemmangundi. There is parking right by the road.
Tips
- Best from August to January when the flow is strong.
- The rocks around the temple are slippery, so take care with children.
- Small stalls sell snacks and tea near the parking.
